Live vs Hybrid Courses
Live CPR courses are presented in a traditional manner and is a video-driven course and is presented in a manner in which skills are demonstrated visually, then practiced. The entire course is done at one time and requires 3-4 hours in total.

Hybrid courses are courses in which the video-based portion of the course is done entirely online directly through the American Heart Association. The online portion includes all videos, some e-practice sessions, and the paper test, and can be done at the student’s leisure. This method allows the student flexibility to take breaks, do sections at a time, or do all of the learning in one session.
After the student has completed the online portion, the student comes in to do a hands-on session in person with an instructor. This allows them to practice their hands-on skills on a mannequin with expert feedback as they practice, ultimately completing the hands-on test out to earn their card.

The hybrid course cost does NOT include the cost of the online portion, which is taken directly through the AHA; online CPR courses that were not directly through the AHA cannot be accepted (instructions provided upon registration for a hybrid course). The online portion of the hybrid course MUST be completed prior to the hands-on portion.
